Nylanite
A PET based material impregnated with graphite and oil for significantly reduced coefficient of friction and increased resistance to wear. It possesses a similar co efficient of friction to PTFE whilst maintaining the stability of PET.
Close tolerances can be maintained when machining and it is suitable for applications submerged in water. Petanite is also a material of choice for applications involving soft metal and plastic mating surfaces. It is resistant to many harsh chemicals, aggressive food products and petroleum.
As all PET materials are more rigid than other thermoplastics, please consult one of technical team members for our machining guidelines.
