With solid lubricant
This internally lubricated material shows a significantly reduced coefficient of friction and increased resistance to wear compared to unfilled PET and other wear materials. PET with solid lubricant clearly outperforms materials such as wax or oil filled Cast Nylon products or other lubricated materials such as Delrin® AF blends.
Dimensional stability is high and close tolerances can be maintained even in wet conditions. PET with solid lubricant is also a material of choice for applications involving soft metal and plastic mating surfaces. It is resistant to many harsh chemicals, aggressive food products and petroleum.
As all PET materials are more rigid than other thermoplastics, please consult one of our technical team members for our machining guidelines.
PET with solid lubricant is FDA, USDA and 3A dairy compliant.
